Home is where the heart is
Home. What do we consider home? A beautiful house full of precious valuables? Or do you consider home a small place with memories lining the walls? For me, home is here in Washburn at my farm. It is beautiful all the time and I am never bored by my home. I have so many good memories here with the people I love. I love my school and my friends but not just that. Over the year that my family has lived here, we've seen and done so many amazing things. We finally had our housewarming party earlier this year in June and we took count of the campers that stayed for the night. There were 300 people at our house. I had 8 kids in my bedroom that night. It is the best memory I have from the farm. Also a couple of months ago we had a party for the meteor shower. It was beautiful and there are so many stars where I live. That's my favorite part about the farm. When I was younger I wanted to be an astronomer but I gave up that dream because I could never see the stars in Peoria. One of my favorite things is going outside in the morning for the bus and seeing the sun rising with the moon still in the sky. It is total utopia for me. to me, the farm is home with all of its strange and beautiful things. I learn something new about it every day. It is home. It will always be home to me.

best thing about loving out here is you can always see the stars!
ReplyDeleteCan't forget the stories I've heard about your goats also!
ReplyDeleteSounds fun. I miss when my family would have bonfires and fun things like that. Appreciate it! Because I know I sure do miss it but even if we did do it now there would be no one to show up because my family has litterally deteriorated and all friends have moved hours away..or some just lost in touch. Seriously though, i'm jealous sounds like fun :)
